Rachel Evangelisto, who made pageant history last summer by becoming the first Native American to win Miss Minnesota, is back in the state and keeping busy after her time at Miss America competition in December.
Rachel says despite not winning, Miss Wisconsin, Grace Stanke was crowned Miss America, it was an amazing experience and she’s excited to continue representing Minnesota through most of June.
Rachel says she has continued working since being crowned and she’s anxious to start at Mitchell Hamline Law School, where she hopes to obtain a Juris Doctorate in Tribal Law.
A new Miss Minnesota will be crowned June 22 and 23rd at Prairie Island Indian Community.
