Lake City 30 Caledonia 13-What a way to start the season for Lake City. The Tigers ended Caledonia's 71 game winning streak, which was the longest current streak in high school football in the country.

Lake City forced six Warriors turnovers and had a huge goal line stand in the fourth quarter.


Lake City quarterback Justin Wohlers rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown and passed for 164 yards, including a 60 yard scoring strike to Matt Demars.


Kris Ryan rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns, including a 57 yard scamper with 6:02 left in the game to salt the game away for Lake City.

Winona 31 Red Wing 6-Jacob Heftman threw two touchdown passes and ran another in for a score in Winona's win at Red Wing.


Dominic Davis rushed for 125 yards and two scores for Winona, who overcame 14 penalties for 122 yards in the win.


Red Wing had three first half turnovers and 11 penalties for 92 yards in the game. The Wingers only score came on Cooper Chandler's two yard run in the fourth quarter.
