Red Wing Aces 9 Hastings Hawks 2-The Aces rallied from an early 2-0 deficit to hammer the Hawks at Veteran's Park in Hastings.

Hastings scored two runs in the bottom of the third inning against Aces pitcher Aidan O' Brien on a two out RBI single from Max Kaplan and an RBI double by Johnny Teigland. That would be all of the offense for the Hawks the rest of the evening.

The Aces responded in the fourth inning as Reid Hartmann singled and later scored on Adam Thygesen's RBI single. Red Wing took the lead in the sixth inning on RBI singles from Nick Azar and Abe Reinitz and chased Hastings starter Dennis Reinhart from the mound. Red Wing added a run in the seventh against the Hawks Reece Cox when Brody Gibart walked and scored on an RBI groundout by Dixon Irwin. Red Wing salted it away with five runs in the top of the ninth inning.

The Aces had 15 hits including three from reid Hartmann and two apiece from Tyler Rodgers, Dixon Irwin, Adam Thygesen and Abe Reinitz. Thygesen and Reinitz each had two RBI. Aidan O'Brien continued his fine year on the mound by going eight strong innings, scattering eight hits and allowing just the two runs in the third inning. O'Brien struck out five and didn't walk a batter is now 6-0 on the season.

Hastings is 11-14 while the Aces are 16-7 on the season. The Aces send Drew Ball to the mound tonight for their 7:30pm game at the Rochester Royals.
