Lake City Threat Update

The Lake City Police Department has provided an update concerning threatening posts reportedly posted on social media by a Lincoln High School student.

The department says as the investigation continues it’s been determined that there was no direct threat toward Lincoln High School.

The message in question was posted within a student-created group chat that is not affliated with any school function or activity.

Additionally, the message did not identify any specific individual and contained only general threatening language.
