Hok-Si-La Municipal Park and Campground in Lake City is going to be getting additional cabins built thanks to a generous local foundation.
Mayor Mark Nichols says construction of six new cabins will start this year.
The current cabins at Hok-Si-La are pretty much reserved already for summer weekends so there is a demand for more cabins.
The park is as a 252-acre municipally owned and operated park and offers spectacular views of the Mississippi River, Lake Pepin, and the surrounding bluffs.
