U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar says the federal funding from the U.S. Department of Commerce Minnesota that passed as part  of the the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law earlier this year is very much needed.
Klobuchar says the $651,839,368  will go a long way towards the goal of reaching every corner of Minnesota with needed high-speed internet. Klobuchar says it’s great news for the state’s agriculture industry and education system.
Klobuchar says businesses can’t fully participate in our economy if you can’t get online.
Klobuchar says the game-changing grant will fund broadband projects over the next five years.
While Minnesota ranks first in the country for internet access according to U.S. News and World Reports, data from the U.S. Department of Commerce shows that nearly 136,000 homes and small businesses in Minnesota are still completely unserved.Â
