Monday, October 9th is Indigenous Peoples' Day and Chief Red Wing Day, and this year it's also the date to celebrate the beautiful Honoring Dakota Mural.
The mural is now complete, and this event will mark the capstone of months of connection and collaboration through the Honoring Dakota Project.
Everyone is welcome to attend as the Red Wing community formally gifts the mural to our Prairie Island Indian Community relatives.
Meet at the mural site of West 3rd and Potter Streets at 4 p.m.
Then continue at 6 p.m. to the Public Library for a community meal.
Learn more about the event and project on the Honoring Dakota website at https://www.honoringdakota.org/.
