Wingers Girls Hockey Coach Steps Down
Nicole Olson has stepped down as the coach of the Red Wing Wingers Girls High School hockey team.
Assistants Ben Bluhm and Brad Johnson have stepped down as well.
Olson was the Wingers coach the past four seasons. Olson replaced Scott Haley, who resigned after 12 seasons as head coach following the 2017-2018 season.
The Wingers were plagued by injuries and covid issues this season. Red Wing was 4-20 this season and lost 7-1 to Two Rivers/St. Paul Saturday in the first round of the Section 4A playoffs.
The new head coach will be the sixth in the programs 25 year history. Dan Doyle, Bay Shock, Chad Bray, Scott Haley and Nicole Olson make up the head coach timeline thus far.
