People in Goodhue County now have a new place for free assistance in finding a wide variety of services.
Executive Director, Liz Magill, says the Goodhue County Resource Center, located in the Christ Episcopal Church, 321 West Avenue in Red Wing, provides people with information about physical and mental health, transportation, education, employment, and much more.
Magill says, although the Center is available to the county’s homeless, it’s mission is to serve all individuals and families who can use help finding specific answers for important questions about basic needs in one location.
Other resources available include chemical dependency, legal services, pregnancy, food, social services, and others.
The Goodhue County Resource Center is open Sundays noon to 5 pm, Tuesdays 2 pm – 7 pm, and Fridays 10 am -3 pm.
You can contact them in person at the Christ Episcopal Church, email them at GCRCRW@gmail.com, or call 651-448-6246.
The Red Wing City Council voted last October to provide $20,000 in funding for the Resource Center, half upfront and the other $10,000 this year.
