Elgin Annual Cheese Days 2026

Elgin’s 59th-annual Cheese Days celebration is scheduled for Friday, June 19, Saturday the 20^th and Sunday the 21^st with all sorts of activities, food and live music on tap.

Friday events will include the carnival and rides which opens at 5 pm, Elgin Fire Department water fights at 6 pm and music by Midway Band from 8:30 pm- 12:30 am.

City-wide garage sales will be going on Friday and Saturday.

On Saturday, it’s the Medallion Hunt, women’s and mens softball, Elgin EMS Cheese Chase 1k and 5k run at 9 am, vendor/ craft show from 9 am – 4 pm, and Burnouts at 6 pm on Central Avenue.

Sunday the 21^st activities include the Grand Parade at 1:30 pm, Kids Pedal Pull at 3 pm on Center Avenue followed by live music by Warrior Revival from 3-6 pm on Mainstreet and then free music by the Dweebs from 7:30 pm – 11 pm.

This year, Pure Country WPVW is the main sponsor.
