A 22-year old Cannon Falls man has been convicted of killing his father in the summer of 2020.
Cole Degroot was sentenced to 15 years in prison for second degree murder without intent following a plea agreement.
According to court documents, Cole Degroot argued with his father, 55-year-old Terry Degroot, before shooting him.
Authorities later found Terry Degroot dead in a skid loader on his own property.
