Red Wing Creative Laureate Program

The City of Red Wing invites you to use your talents to help distinguish Red Wing as an arts and culture destination by applying for the inaugural Creative Laureate Program.

Zamira Mendoza, with the City’s Arts & Culture Commission, says this program aims to financially support local visual and performance artists interested in designing and implementing a community-engaged project.

Artists and culture-bearers from across Southeastern Minnesota and nearby Wisconsin are invited to share their project ideas with the board and apply to receive an honorarium of up to $1,200 to support their creative endeavors.

Mendoza says projects can vary across a wide range of artistic disciplines, such as: painting a community mural, creating an interactive art installation, performing poetry or music in town and more.
