The City of Plainview is working with Business of Child Care, on behalf of Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation, to assess the current challenges and opportunities for child care and the workforce in the community.
They will be holding working sessions to hear community members ideas.
They hope to identify and agree on community goals and desired outcomes for child care and create a roadmap and timeline to provide the infrastructure needed to support existing child care businesses and the economic well-being of the region.
The community is invited to Plainview City Hall, 241 W Broadway, Tuesday, September 17 at 5 pm.
Childcare providers are invited to attend the existing providers session, that will be held at 6:30pm that night.
