Saturday, February 25th is the 15th annual Grumpy Plunge held at Beach Park in Wabasha as part of the Grumpy Old Men Festival.
The Grumpy Plunge is a fundraiser where 100% of the Plunge’s proceeds go to support two Wabasha Non-Profits, Great River Homes, Inc. and the Rotary Club of Wabasha.
Cari McCann, Executive Director of Great River Homes, says it’s fun day, there will be a variety of awards given out and for the 30th anniversary of the movie, the write of both the original and sequel will be on hand.
McCann says it’s a safe event and they take plenty of precautions.
You can register online at greatriverhomes.org or onsite from 1 pm to 3 pm day of the event, which begins at 3 pm and goes until the last plunger emerges from the water.
Great River Homes mission is to provide person centered Home and Community Based Services in Wabasha County and The Rotary Club of Wabasha meets a multitude of community needs by providing services above self.
