After being postponed from fall 2020 due to the pandemic, the Anderson Center is again presenting a three-part literary reading series.
Adam Wiltgen, Development Director and Residency Coordinator, says Books in the Barn is a series that offers a wide-ranging look at the work of contemporary writers in a perfect location.
The events all take place at 7 p.m. on Fridays, October 1st, October 15th and November 5th. Books will be available for purchase and signing at each reading. Ticket reservations are encouraged.
Wiltgen says Friday, October 1st features Tracy K. Smith, who was appointed by the Library of Congress as the 22nd United States Poet Laureate.
A Happy Hour Meet & Greet with Smith is taking place at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Tower View’s newly renovated outdoor deck. Tickets are $75 and include admission to both the reading and the happy hour event, which features complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
