2024 Jay McCleary Sustainability Award Nominations

The Red Wing Sustainability Commission is now accepting nominations for the 2024 Jay McCleary Sustainability Award.

The award is designed to recognize businesses, organizations, and individuals who have worked to advance sustainability and promote environmental awareness in the Red Wing area.

Applications for this year's award are open through Friday, March 29.

Residents may nominate their own projects or be nominated by another party.

Nominees must be within School District 256.

The Red Wing Sustainability Commission, aided by a selection committee, will choose the award recipient(s), and the winner will be recognized at the April 22 City Council meeting. 

The Award was established in 2021 to help promote sustainability and environmental stewardship in the community and recognize innovative programs and practices.

The award is named in honor of Jay McCleary, who was also the first recipient of the award.
