Zumbro Falls Highway 60 Project

Greg Taylor

Motorists on Highway 60 will be detoured west of Zumbro Falls as of Monday, May 2 as crews start the Highway 60 construction project that stretches from Zumbro Falls to Highway 52.

MnDOT’s contractor will reconstruct Highway 60 in Zumbro Falls, replace culverts and bridges along the route as well as repave the road from Zumbro Falls to Highway 52. The work will require two detours because of the bridge and culvert replacements. Construction is expected to be completed in October.

Stage 1 will include pipe replacements between Wabasha County Road 3 and Zumbro Falls, completing all the Zumbro Falls reconstruction and completing the span bridge west of Zumbro Falls.

Zumbro Falls reconstruction will be the east two-thirds of Zumbro Falls, and the bridge just west of Zumbro Falls will also be under construction. The detour of Highway 60 is Wabasha County Road 3 north to Highway 63.

Stage 2 will replace culverts west of Wabasha County Road 3.

The detour of Highway 60 during this stage is Highway 58 north to Goodhue and Wabasha County Road 16 east to Highway 63.
