If your feeling lucky, make sure to join in on the Lucky Treasure Hunt on Friday from noon - 7 pm, part of the Sip & Shop’ event in Plainview.
According to the Plainview News, the event, by a coalition of downtown business owners, will allow customers to sip alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while shopping at participating stores.
Q Media General Manager, Shannon Harrell, says the ‘Lucky Treasure Hunt’ is sponsored by WPVW radio.
Harrell says you can find clues at each location, leading the winner to the mythical Pot of Gold, in this case, prizes include Minnesota Twins and St. Paul Saints baseball tickets, and passes to attractions at the Mall of America in Bloomington.
Find clues at Young Love Floral and Finds, Rare Necessities, Refill Goods, Atelier@1901, The Woods Fine Amish Furniture, The Cre8tive Place, JT Variety and Toys, Magnolia Cottage, the Front Porch Market, and Kim’s Saloon and Grill.
Participants must be at least age 18.
Locations associated with the temporary suspension of the prohibition of public consumption include West Broadway from Fifth Street Southwest to North Wabasha Avenue; Fourth Street Southwest from Broadway Avenue to First Avenue Southwest; the alley running west to east in front of Kim’s Saloon and Grill from Fourth Street Southwest to Third Street Southwest; and Third Street Southwest from Broadway Avenue to the alley leading to Kim’s Saloon.
