Wabasha-Kellogg Public Schools recently received a generous $7,500 donation from the Wabasha-Kellogg Area Community Foundation (WKACF) to support mold remediation efforts at W-K Elementary.
The funds will help off-set the costly necessary remediation measures, ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment for all students and staff.
According to the Wabasha County Herald, the School Board is considering various funding options for the remediation project, including donations.
One of the Board’s goals is to minimize tax impact upon the community, and this generous donation supports that goal.
Since its founding in 2014, WKACF has partnered with local organizations to support initiatives that highlight community strengths and respond to local priorities through impactful grantmaking.
