U.S. Army Corps Pipeline Dredging

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will begin work today on a dredging near Wabasha.

The 62-hundred-foot pipeline will begin at a sand placement site on the Mississippi River to the Wabasha Gravel Pit. 

The contractor will also build a bridge over Brewery Creek. 

The Corps of Engineers says the pipeline will help move sand more efficiently and reduce truck traffic in the community. 

Construction begins Monday and should be completed by the end of this summer.
