Successful Mighty Mississippi Cleanup

The organizers of the local events of the 2025 Mighty Mississippi Cleanup are announcing it was a big success.

On Saturday, April 26th nearly 40 volunteers helped clean up two areas around He Mni Can-Barn Bluff and Sturgeon Lake Road.

At He Mni Can-Barn Bluff, 260 pounds of trash were collected, and the Sturgeon Lake Road cleanup added another 20 bags.

Between both sites, several tires, hubcaps, glass, cooking pans, a microwave, and even a bowling ball were among the items picked up and ultimately transported for proper disposal.
