The Red Wing Mayor for a Day contest has been extended and contest submissions will be accepted until Tuesday, June 3rd.

Due to the City having to change their website address to conform to new federal standards the essay submissions for the were being bounced back.
Essays must be the original work of students who live in the Red Wing School District area and who are in the fifth, sixth, or seventh grades. Essays should be between 125 and 250 words.
One winner will be chosen and will be awarded a certificate for $20 in Chamber Bucks, a ride in a police car and fire truck, a tour of the police and fire stations, and time to sit in the Mayor’s seat with the winner’s name on the name plate.
The winning student will also receive pictures of the day, and the essay will be published on the City’s website.
All the essays will be blind judged.
