On Friday September 20th, at approximately 8:38 pm, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a male subject that appeared to be deceased who was located in a wooded area of a private residence in Trenton Township.
Initial scene investigation showed that the subject, identified as 73-year old Bruce Bang from Red Wing, was out bowhunting and was located on the ground by a friend after not returning when expected.
Deputies arrived on scene and life saving measures were attempted.
Mr. Bang was pronounced deceased by the Pierce County Medical Examiner.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Red Wing Ambulance and the Ellsworth Fire Department.
