Earth Week 2026 continues and you're invited to participate in local events in Red Wing to celebrate and give back.
The Mighty Mississippi Cleanup has a clean-up tomorrow at County Road 18 and Sturgeon Lake Road (near the Tipsy Turtle) from 9-11 am.
Garbage bags will be provided, and participants must wear gloves and sturdy shoes. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Sponsored by Goodhue County, the City of Red Wing, and the Honoring Dakota Project.
Red Wing Arts wraps up their Treasures on the Trail arts-in-nature program today and tomorrow. Red Wing Arts commissioned artists Darrell Campbell and Jessie Childs to create metal eagle feathers that will be placed along Red Wing trails. The treasures will be hidden in plain sight.
Once found, you are invited to bring the feather to the Red Wing Depot Gallery to be a part of an interactive community art piece designed by Darrell and Jesse, before moving your found treasure to your home.
