Red Cross SE Minnesota Blood Shortage

The American Red Cross continues to experience a severe blood shortage.


Melanie Tschida, Executive Director, American Red Cross Southeast Minnesota, says this time of year is a very busy time for folks and it does affect donations.


Tschida says the Red Cross offers CPR training which is critical if and when you ever need those skills.


Blood drives this month include: Lake City Sportsman Club today from 1–7 pm and Friday at Gunderson Saint Elizabeth Hospital & Clinics in Wabasha from 9 am–3 pm. Tomorrow, the there will also be a blood drive at St. Mary’s of the Lake in Lake City from 9 am-2 pm.


Monday, August 26th, Seminary Professional Building-Mayo Clinic will be collecting donations from 9 am-3 pm. Wednesday, the 28th from 10 am - 4 pm at the Wabasha County Criminal Justice Center.  


Cross of Christ Lutheran Church-Welch is hosting drives Thursday, the 29th from noon-6 pm and Friday the 30th from 8:30 am-2:30 pm.
