Last month MINNDEPENDENT awarded 17 Grants to member schools to support hands-on projects for the 2025-2026 school year.
This year, Immanuel Lutheran School in Plainview was one of the 17 schools to receive a grant for STEM. Immanuel will receive $1,500 to use with their LEGO Robotics program.
Students in grades 6-8 have been working throughout the past years to learn more about science, technology and math through the use of LEGO robotics.
This program helps students grow by building confidence in STEM skills like coding, robotics, and computer science.
Simultaneously, they foster 21st century skills like collaboration and critical thinking. The program culminates with a regional competition that ILS students take part in.
MINNDEPENDENT fosters authentic relationships with funders, businesses and community organizations on behalf of member schools, resulting in grants, in-kind services and professional resources.
