Plainview American Legion Blood Donations

Plainview American Legion Post 179 recently hosted an American Red Cross blood drive.

Alice Henderson, Plainview’s community blood drive coordinator, said the goal of 28 donations was achieved.

The Plainview News reports each blood donor received a solar lantern, Girl Scout cookies, and a coupon for a free ice cream cone from 3-D’s Ice Cream in Plainview.

Another area Red Cross blood drive is scheduled for noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 29 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
