A Pine Island man who was involved in a hours long standoff with multiple law enforcement agencies in June of 2022 has been sentenced in Olmsted County Court.
37-year old Michael Molitor was sentenced to 10 years in prison and ordered to spend five years on probation following his release by the Minnesota Department of Corrections.
Molitor fired nearly two dozen shots at law enforcement officers during the standoff, after the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for a possible domestic dispute in the south east area of Pine Island. No one was injured.
During the standoff, Molitor was seen dressed in body armor, and he was holding a female hostage
