
A Hagar City man is dead after a four vehicle accident Monday around 7:52 pm.
Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was called to the accident on State Road 35 near 1200th St. in Oak Grove Township.
It was determined a 2019 Dodge Ram operated by 49-year old Douglas Whaley of Hager City, WI, was assisting in removing a 2010 Chrysler 300 operated by 24-year old Brianna Cox of Prescott, WI, from the ditch when a box truck operated by 44-year old Alim Abdullah of Dallas, TX, was traveling northbound on STH 35 and struck the Whaley’s vehicle.
Abdullah’s truck then struck a vehicle operated by 24-year old Maunee Rasmusson-Waltman of Prescott, WI.
Whaley’s vehicle also had a 13 year old female passenger and Abbdullah had a passenger identified as 30-year old Jvonta Carter of Dallas TX.
The Cox vehicle had a 3 week old infant passenger. Whaley was transported by Allina EMS to Regions Hospital in St. Paul where he was later pronounced deceased.
The 13 year old passenger was transported by Ellsworth EMS to Regions Hospital with undetermined injuries and the three week old infant was transported to Regina Hospital in Hastings with undetermined injuries.
The road conditions were icy at the time of the accident.
