PEM’s School Board on June 16 approved a preliminary budget for the 2025-2026 school year.

The budget shows total revenue of $22,386,685 and expenses of $23,105,741, which includes all funds including debt redemption.

The Plainview News reports the unassigned fund balance shows a decrease of $190,220. The fund balance will help maintain current programs.

The preliminary budget and revisions will be considered as additional enrollment and state funding information becomes  available.

The School Board must approve the budget and send to the State of Minnesota’s Department of Education by June 30.

It can be revised and reviewed at any time. Revisions are based on enrollment, staffing, and revenue/expense changes.
