Minnesota State College Southeast is offering public information sessions in Red Wing and Winona at the end of this month for college-bound students and adult learners to learn more about the North Star Promise.
Â
The North Star Promise is a new state-funded scholarship program designed to provide a tuition-free pathway to higher education for eligible Minnesotan residents.
Â
The session at the Red Wing Campus (also on Zoom) is Tuesday, July 30, from 4 to 5 pm. For a Zoom link, email Easton at easton.mccready@southeastmn.edu.
Â
The information session at the Winona Campus will be Wednesday, July 31, from 4 to 5 pm.
Â
Beginning in Fall 2024, the North Star Promise (NSP) Scholarship program will create a tuition and fee-free pathway to higher education for eligible Minnesota residents at all public colleges and universities in the state.
Â
It is a "last-dollar" program that will cover the balance of tuition and fees remaining after other scholarships, grants, stipends, and tuition waivers have been applied.
