The Mississippi Alumination volunteer group that traditionally puts on the annual 4th of July fireworks show in Red Wing has announced it will NOT be doing that this year.
According to the group, the main reason being lack of volunteers and funding.
They would like to give a BIG thanks to everyone who has supported, donated or that has volunteered in the past years, either by dropping off your aluminum cans or writing them a check.
They also thank Red Wing Downtown Main Street for being their fiscal agent and the City of Red Wing for matching their raised funds.
