A 79 year old Red Wing woman who was reported missing Tuesday has been found safe.
The Pierce County Sheriff's Office reports they were notified by the family of 79-year-old Kathryn Schlee of Bay City around 1 am and stated she had not returned home since 9:43 pm on Monday, April 4th.
After initial contact deputies were told Kathryn had left her residence to go shopping the previous day. Kathryn’s family had phone contact with her and she said she was confused and lost in the twin cities metro area.
During the course of the investigation a Silver Alert was issued for Wisconsin and Minnesota areas.
Phone contact was again made with Kathryn, who said she was currently in North Minneapolis. The Minneapolis Police Department was contacted to assist in searching the area and she was located unharmed and reunited with her family.
