Mayor of Red Wing For a Day Essay Contest

If you were the Mayor of Red Wing for one day, what would you do? 

Mayor Gary Iocco would like to know and now students can explain in their own words through a short essay.

Essays must be the original work of students who live in the Red Wing School District area and who are in the fifth, sixth, or seventh grades.

Essays should be between 125 and 250 words.

One winner will be chosen and will be awarded a certificate for $20 in Chamber Bucks, a ride in a police car and fire truck, a tour of the police and fire stations, and time to sit in the Mayor’s seat with the winner’s name on the name plate.

The winning student will also receive pictures of the day, and the essay will be published on the City’s website.

Entries due Friday, May 16.
