A Lake City man was killed on Saturday, January 1st in a car accident that left another person in critical condition.
At 6:21 a.m. a Lake City police officer responded to a Rapid SOS 911 call to the area of Territorial Road and 360th or 361st avenue in Florence Township.
Deputies determined that a vehicle had been traveling south on Territorial Road when it entered the ditch, struck a fence and then rolled several times coming to rest in a hay field.
51-year old Christopher Tepley of Lake City was found dead at the scene, outside of the vehicle. 50-year old Sandra Miller of Lake City, was found, also outside the vehicle, in critical condition.
Miller was transported to the Lake City Hospital and was airlifted by Mayo One to St. Mary’s in Rochester.
The accident is under investigation.
