The IRS is giving Minnesotans affected by June's severe storms and flooding a tax filing extension.
The agency will extend the filing deadline for individual and business returns in the 25 Minnesota counties covered by a federal disaster declaration, including Goodhue and Wabasha Counties.
The extension covers returns and tax payments that would normally be done in June and September of this year and January of next year.
The filing deadline for those returns and payments is now February 3rd.
