Goodhue Roundabout Open and Bridge Work Starts

The roundabout on Hwy 58 at Goodhue Co. Rd. 9 opened to traffic Friday in Goodhue.

In addition to a roundabout being constructed in Goodhue, pedestrian and bike paths were improved through the Hwy 58/Co. Rd. 9 intersection and large culverts were extended under Co. Rd. 9.

If you travel in Goodhue, Wabasha or Winona counties, you should plan for extra travel time beginning today (Monday, July 8), as crews begin crack and joint sealing work to help extend state bridges’ life expectancy.

Bridges scheduled for sealing work include:

·         Highway 61 bridges near Red Wing

·         Highway 63 over the Mississippi River, Highway 61 and Bluff Street in Red Wing

·         Highway 52 bridges at Hader, northbound bridge over the North Fork Zumbro River, south junction of Highway 60

·         Highway 60 over the Mississippi River at Wabasha

·         Highway 61 bridges near Kellogg

·         Highway 60 bridge west of Zumbro Falls

Crews will be working Monday through Saturday during daylight hours. It is anticipated that work should be completed in September.
