Goodhue County Toward Zero Deaths Event

Greg Taylor

The Goodhue County Toward Zero Deaths Border 2 Border saturation took place Wednesday, July 3rd.

A team of 10 Officers and Deputies from Goodhue County Sheriff's Office, Kenyon (MN) Police Department, and Zumbrota Police Department worked grant funded shifts between 10am and 11pm.

A total of 114 stops were made, with 93 being for speed violations.

During the saturation, Zumbrota Police Officer Evenson stopped and arrested a 31 year old woman for DUI who was over 3 times the legal limit and had children in the car.

The goal is to reduce the number of fatalities on Minnesota roadways by bringing together Education, Enforcement, Emergency Medical and Trauma Services, Engineering and more.
