Gas Prices Down Slightly

Gas prices are down slightly across the state in mid-April. Triple-A Minnesota reports the statewide average for a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.09. That’s down from $3.17 last week.

As of Tuesday, regular unleaded was 3.19 per gallon at Kwik Trip in Red Wing and at US Gas in Lake City it’s $3.18.

Handy Mart in Wabasha and Kwik Trip in Kellogg were at $2.84 and in Plainview, Kwik Trip is selling regular unleaded for $3.09 per gallon.

At BP in Mazeppa it was $3.13 on Tuesday and at the BP in  Zumbro Falls it was $3.24.

In Cannon Falls yesterday, BP was at $3.29, Speedway $3.26 and at Casey’s it was selling for $3.27.

Analysts say they expect higher prices as more people drive in the spring and the refineries switch to summer-grade blends.
