Flood Forecast Mississippi River

The water level on the Mississippi River is getting back to normal levels.  


According to the National Weather Service, the river at Hastings below Lock and Dam 2 was under minor flood stage at 14.3 feet Wednesday and is expected to fall below action stage, 13 feet, by Saturday.

 

Red Wing’s measurement continues to fall and stood at just under action stage of 11.8 feet Wednesday. It’s forecast to fall to around 9 feet by the middle of next week.

 

The river at Lake City was under minor flood stage at 14.2 feet as of Wednesday and is expected to fall below action stage, 13 feet, by Sunday.


Wabasha is still experiencing minor flooding, measured at 12.6 feet as of Wednesday. The river is forecast to continue to fall just under minor flood stage, 11.9 feet, by Sunday.
