Elder Network is inviting the public to a special event aimed at making our communities more dementia-friendly.
Join them at the Plainview Area Community and Youth Center on Tuesday, February 18. They are holding an information session from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
The Plainview News reports there is no charge, but pre-registration is required by Friday.
Topics covered include what dementia is, what it’s like to live with dementia, and some tips for communicating with someone with dementia.
There is a difference between occasional forgetfulness and memory loss associated with dementia, and this will be explored in the session.
To register, call Bonnie at (651) 564-0351 or send email to bonnies@elder-network.org.
