The Dick Hiley St. Jude Bass Classic Tournament in Wabasha, which began in 1999 at Treasure Island Resort and Casino and raised $11,000 in its first year, was another huge hit this year.
The Wabasha County Herald reports there 96 teams in the tournament and participants and supporters raised over $1.1 million this year, with the top fundraisers bringing in more than $76,000.
The team with the highest qualifying fundraising took home a $25,000 prize.
J.J. Schultz and Josh Die claimed the tournament title this year, while Shawn Bergsrud and Wyatt Stout won a brand-new Skeeter ZX200.
The Dick Hiley St. Jude Bass Classic is the largest charity bass fishing tournament for St. Jude in the country.
