The City of Wabasha is researching the potential sale of the land adjacent to Cannon Park for development.
The City of Wabasha Park Board will be discussing the future of this lot (parcel A) and the future Cannon Park (Parcel C) at the October Park Board meeting.
The Public Works Department is charged with maintaining 41 acres over 13 parks and we lack the resources to maintain them.
Cannon Park was identified as being underutilized and potentially could be decommissioned in the Master Parks and Trails plan.
The Park Board meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 16 at 1PM at Wabasha City Hall.
Community members that would like to provide input on Cannon Park and the adjacent lot are encouraged to email cityadmin@wabasha.org, attend the meeting, or contact a Park Board member.
