Child Sexual Abuse Sentence

The Wabasha Police Department has announced the successful conclusion of a child sexual abuse material case resulting in the conviction and sentencing of a 43-year old Wabasha man.
Charles Douglas Harris has been sentenced to a 102 month, 8.5 years, prison sentence in Wabasha County District Court.
According to the original criminal complaint in late May of this year, the Wabasha Police Department was notified of two cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding uploaded CSAM to a Google Photos account.
The cybertips claimed Harris uploaded more than 350 child sexual abuse materials (CSAM) to his Google accounts.
The investigation began in April of this year, following a tip recieved by law enforcement.
Wabasha Police Chief Joe Stark and the Department extends their gratitude to the Minnesota BCA, the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office and the Wabasha County Attorney’s Office for their ctitical roles bringing this case to a just conclusion.
Harris, a level two predatory offender living in Wabasha, was convicted of four counts relating to possessing CSAM in 2016.
