Cannon Valley Trail Sections Closed

The Cannon Valley Trail will close two separate sections around Red Wing for major repair and replacement projects.

Currently closed until July 1^st is mile 13.5 to mile 17.5 for slope failaure repairs.

Mile 15.5, Cannon Bottom Road, to mile 19.7, Old West Main is closed through June 2027 for bridge and asphalt replacement.

Violators may be charged with a misdemeanor, which carries a penalty of up to $1,000 and/or 90 days in jail.

There are no alternative routes for these trail closures.

It’s recommended that trail users utilize the Welch Station Access or the Cannon Falls Accesses.
