American Eagle Gallery

A new exhibit is coming to the American Eagle Gallery at the National Eagle Center this fall.

On Thursday, September 4^th at 5 m, the Center is hosting an opening reception for Beyond the Nest: A Shared Legacy of Strength, Advocacy and Culture.

Following “Clearing the Air”, which opened in 2024, this new exhibit will showcase many never-before-seen items and artifacts from the Preston Cook American Collection.

The focus of the exhibit will be the unique connection between eagles and women throughout American history, including through military service, fashion, and conservation as it relates to our national symbol and National Bird.

The reception is free and open to the public, will serve light refreshments, and feature remarks from Collector Preston Cook and Curator Alex Lien.
