Community Mike Central Park

Please join Red Wing Arts in Central Park today, from 5:30-8 pm to honor Mike Murphy with the things that brought him joy - music, stories, community, and a shared meal.

Together, let's celebrate his life and legacy that will live on in the hearts of the Red Wing community.

"Community Mike" Murphy volunteered his time and talents as a sound technician here in Red Wing for more than 50 years, helping make live music possible for everyone to enjoy.

With his infectious smile, amazing dance moves, humorous spirit, and compassionate heart, Mike brightened the lives of everyone he met.

He cared deeply for this town, and we couldn't be more grateful for everything he's done to bring people together through music these past five decades.

Mike was killed in a car accident Monday afternnoon.
