City Council Hallock

The Red Wing City Council Monday night voted to continue negotiations with Marshall Hallock, the City’s Finance Director after voting to reject the two options that were on the agenda.
Hallock resigned on September 4th but offered to stay on for several months if the City paid him.
Hallock’s offer was staying on the job until February and he would receive six months of severance following his departure. If the agreement is not reached, Hallock had said he would leave his position this month.
The proposals were:
1. Approve the Separation Agreement with Marshall Hallock: Payout $165,524
2. Accept Resignation of Marshall Hallock effective September 4th, 2026: Payout $55,410
Vicki Jo Lambert introduced a third option, which ended up passing on a 4-3 vote.
Lambert, along with Becky Norton, Beth Snyder and Kim Beise, voted to keep negotations with Hallock going.
