Xcel Energy, along with its contractor Q3 Contracting, will be replacing a natural gas valve along North Service Drive near Industrial Hardwood Products the week of April 3rd.
The valve along with sections of piping on each side will be replaced and moved out of the roadway into the soft surface right-of-way on the south side of the road.
Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 3rd, and be completed by Friday, April 7th, weather permitting.
Traffic control will be installed on Monday, April 3rd with a “TAKE TURNS” approach to the work area until the work is complete.
If project work isn’t completed by Friday afternoon, the road will have both lanes open for the weekend, and permanent restoration will occur the following week.
