The City of Red Wing Public Works Department is informing the public that there will be no parking on the portion of Levee Road from the bulkheads to Withers Harbor Drive beginning Thursday.
There will be single-lane traffic with lane shifts to allow equipment and trucks to work on the dredging of the Mississippi River.
In addition, there will be no fishing or parking on the west bulkhead.
The work will be conducted on weekdays, Monday through Friday, with no restrictions for the project's duration on Saturdays and Sundays.
Crews will be working a 12-hour shift.
The Army Corp of Engineers expects the dredging to take approximately five weeks, weather-dependent. When the work is completed, traffic patterns and parking will return to normal.
Traffic control will be in place and drivers are encouraged to avoid this area.
